“Shibari”, in Japanese, means simply “to Tie.” In this class a Stitch of Trouble will teach the basics of creating the geometric patterns that are generally associated with this form of rope bondage. The skills learned in this class will give attendees the knowledge to do basic ties and harnesses safely and give them the foundations for more complicated ties that can eventually lead to suspension.
A Stitch of Trouble met when Trouble was randomly assigned as an email pal to Stitch. It started a long and obviously productive "friendship" that grew into kink when Stitch showed Trouble there was a whole community of kinksters! Now they teach rope classes in conjunction with the Smitten Kitten and perform all over the Minneapolis/St Paul area.
Please bring your own rope if you have it. We will also have extra rope to share for the duration of the workshop.
